Does it come with the original PG at that price, or is it coming bare? If it comes with one, what color?

+1 on including the tort guard. At very least tell us what you're putting on instead even though nothing else will be as good.

It doesn't come with the tort guard. The reason is that it is an early 70's Fender tort guard. Current selling price on those is $350+ (more than the rest of the bass).

You should be able to buy a tort guard at GFS for $15-20 or so.

I "may" have a white guard here...not sure. If I can find it, I'll include it, but no guarantees.

PMs replied.

Not really looking for trade offers, except perhaps for vintage Fender parts, or maybe P Bass parts (tort guard, threaded saddle bridge, rosewood board neck) + cash.

On the other hand, if he DOES happen to have a spare white PG laying around he may just end up using it, and a road-kill 'possum, some beer nuts, and a half empty can of motor oil to build some RIDICULOUSLY cool junkyard bass.

BTW - I'd be willing to sell this without the pickups (and pickguard of course) for $250...just in case someone already had different Jazz pickups that they wanted to use.

It was already painted when I got it. Pro job.

The bridge I got off of Ebay. I like it - top loader, really adjustable, intonates well.

Why do I keep looking at this?

I was happy to see it was sold, and now it's back.

I don't even like jazz basses, and never been a fan of seafoam green..... but this one I am having a hard time resisting.

Free Bump for great looking bass.

You have no idea how bad I want this bass right now. I've been planning on buying a jazz bass by the end of the month in this price range, the money just hasn't come through yet. If it's not sold by September (which I'm sure it will be gone before then) I will take this off your hands!
