The Midnight Blue is gone? Well, it was lucky for my creditcard that I didnt discover this thread before today, since thoose "Black'n'blue" rick's is whats left on my GAS-list. Anyway, I bet that '83 is a great player, my '85 have the single best neck I have ever played.

(Oh, and incase the new owner of the 1990 Midnight Blue bass doesn't like it, Shoot me a PM, I am VERY intrested in one

This was in the days before op amps were widely used....looks like a kind of passive "eq" where a high and low pass filter are configured with the volume control.
