Here are some ABSOLUTELY amazing basses that I have in the studio that I have decided to sell. I simply have too much gear laying around......... and I hate seeing such awesome instruments not getting used like they should. Rob's instruments are incredible. I love them. I have several other Elricks that are my main players at the moment. The build quality and selection of woods are simply amazing. I've had just about every type of high end bass out there over the years and these are among the best ones IMO.

1. Elrick NJS5 - This bass smokes. It's an NJS 5. In excellent condition. It does have a few marks on the edge at the bottom by the input jack but on the back side and a few light marks on the back, but not ones that really show up via pics. It's in VERY good shape. Here are the specs:
-SUPER Light Swamp ash body with a deep tonal center
-The most heavily figured piece of Burled maple for the top that I have ever seen. The pics are hard to show the huge amount of figuring, but it's off the chart!!! Seriously!
- Ultra high grade rosewood board
- Maple neck
- Ebony topped headstock
- 35 inch scale.....doesn't really feel like a 35 to me though....more like a 34 on this bass
- Bart pre and pickups
- Pickups at 70's spacings
- Custom knob layout with Vol, Blend, Treb, Mid, Bass
- Black Hardware that includes matching straplocks
- Weight is exactly 9.0 lbs on my digital scale
- EXTREMELY comfortable and balanced.
- Frets are in excellent shape.
- Comes with heavy gigbag

If you've been looking at getting an NJS 5, I can say for certain that this is a really good one. It's very tonally balanced and is very comfortable to play. It's got a killer tone as well! If I didn't have my Elrick 6, this bass wouldn't be going anywhere.

+ I am mainly playing my Elrick Evo 6 bolt-on lately (the one in my avatar) so I have reluctantly decided to list this one for sale. It's an amazing instrument. I won't mind it a bit if this doesn't sell

New price would be WELL over $4.5K

Asking $1975.00 shipped CONUS only. Sold!!!!!

2. 2008 Elrick EVO fretless 4
- The absolute lightest 4 string bass I have ever had........a tiny bit lighter than my NYC Sadowsky Will Lee. Weight is exactly 7.6 lbs on my digital scale! It's perfectly balanced and VERY very comfy to play. No neck dive........it is seriously perfectly balanced. It could pass for new. Very Very good condition with no dents/dings. Excellent shape.
- Ultra Light Swamp Ash body with deep tonal center.
- Very nice Holly top.
- Super comfy and skinny Maple neck with Gabon Ebony fretboard with lines ( in excellent condition...mainly strung with flats) There are very faint marks on the fretboard from a brief time with Elrick rounds, but they are not in the wood, you can not feel them and they are only cosmetic. This piece of Gabon Ebony is incredibly durable! The upgrade for a Gabon Ebony board is some serious $$$$, but well worth it!
- Bart pre and upgraded Bart soapbar pickups.
- 35 inch scale that again feels like a 34 to me.
- Gold hardware that includes matching straplocks
- Amazing passive and active tones on this bass
- Comes with Elrick Zero Gravity case

+ selling ONLY because I just got an Elrick fretless 5 just like it
This 4 string is the best fretless I have ever come across in both sonics and feel. It's awesome.......i just needed a 5 string a little more for current projects. This is a killer fretless folks!

New price would be over $4k

Asking $1700 shipped CONUS only.

Feel free to shoot me questions if you've got them.

For some odd reason pics wouldn't load on TB so......Here is a link with a lot of Pics of both basses: Elrick Basses for sale pictures by Cory_Bell - Photobucket.

Thanks!

Man !! Beautiful fretless...... I am so wanting one of these. Got to be 34" though.

Why does anyone make a 4 string bass 34" ????? Just don't get it.

Amazing though and the pickups are right where I want them.

Good luck with the sale !

Well, All of my Elrick basses are 35 inch versions. The 35 inch fretless is nice in that when I switch between my Elrick basses they all feel the same. The string tension is also REALLY nice. I can tell a little bit of a difference in the tone quality (in a good way) of the 4 string in a 35 inch vs. a 34 inch on open strings. Not a huge difference, but a teeeny bit.

I've been a 34 inch player for over 20 years and I've had zero problems adapting to Rob's 35 inch basses. Part of it is how far back he sets the bridge. The neck doesn't feel abnormally long. It doesn't feel like other 35's I've played. Much more comfortable.

Rob's basses are incredible. I can't begin to say enough good things about them. Simply incredible instruments.

Bump with some price drops. If you've got reasonable offers, feel free to send them to me.

Hoping these two incredible basses will find a good home and will be played a whole lot! They aren't for sale because they are no good.....they are really really good instruments.....I just can't play all the Elrick basses that I have at one time

Wow. Incredible prices...all the best with the transactions. I've been a fan of Rob's work for quite a while now, and that NJS5 is a bass I would absolutely love to play and hear.

Yes, addiction is an understatement. I have so much stuff it's taken over..... Which is why I'd like to sell a few. I have way more than I will ever effectively use.

His 6's are awesome. That's what I play all the time now. I love em. The tone is mmmm good! Since I got it, I haven't been able to put it down.

on anther note.....

Had several people ask about the New Jazz Standard 5 (NJS5) the pickup spacing. It's 70's spacing. I've updated the original post.

Man I hope so ! ... that NJS has been haunting me. Even to the point of doing something I might just regret to make room

Both of these Killer basses are still available!

Pretty shocked that they are still around.

May be interested in trades involving:

1. Mint Aguilar DB750
2. Berg NV cabs, AE 410 pair
3. Possibly a high quality lightweight practice amp??
4. Run it by me......

Thank goodness!!!

I just noticed that you had some interest in a vintage Precision on the boards earlier ... I was just about to PM you to see if you had any interest in some trade bait for mine. I glad to see the NJS has been snatched up before I did something I'd probably regret.

Good luck with the sale of the Evo.

Yes, I needed one for a recording session. I bet that Elrick PJ you just picked up kills!
