SHORT SCALE, BIRDSONG C: BASS (SHORT SCALE P BASS TYPE)

Sign in to disble this ad
Up for sale is my Birdsong (Birdsong - Professional hand built short scale basses)

( Birdsong - Professional hand built short scale basses )

This bass is extremely good. For a long time it was The actual bass pictured in Scott Birdsong's ads in Bassplayer magaizne. The only reason I am selling it is because I have another from Birdsong that has a droptune D tuner on it. Both Birdsongs are perfect basses.

If you ordered one like this from Scott it would take months to get and cost $1750 (plus tax if you are in Texas or a state that requires sales tax).

I will let this one go for $1250 if you pick it up in the Dallas/Mesquite, Texas area or $1299 if need to ship it (lower 48 only).

The bass comes with a Birdsong case. It has flats on it now and sounds great.....

I am only selling this one. And obviously, it is a fine looking bass and priced to sell. No trades, and once its gone.... its gone....
Not doing trades (I need room lol!) and doing Paypal only.

So good luck if you have been looking for a Birdsong, or a great short scale Fusion (NOT a C Bass as I put. Sorry)
!

What you have pictured is not a C Bass, but a fretted Fusion.

Indeed. Might want to correct that, OP. It's a Fusion.

A thousand pardons. I am not the original owner. The bass is the one pictured in the Bass Player Magazines up until a few months ago. The person who owned it traded it to Scott at Birdsongguitars for another one. I can not remember his name but he has a video or two he posted here of it.

The way I ended up getting it is I had one on order. Howerver a Talkbass member had a Birdsong Cort Bass for trade and I had a Deluxe Fender P Bass I traded for it. It already has the drop D tuning I wanted.

I talked with Scott and would have had to pay a penalty for a refund and wanted to check this one out since he had it on consignment. It's great but I really have too many basses! I am running out of room for them and cases in my spare bedroom. So I am simply thinning the herd.

All my basses are great. Really And whoever gets this one will be happy. I have only bathroom scales that I have to weigh with as well as the bass. I have to stand on the scale with the bass. To me it feels light, but the scales went from a low reading of 8 pounds to a high of 9.4 and everything in between. Thats the best I can do for you on a weight at the moment.

The serial number is 11F-023. I am sure Scott can give you more info. If whoever gets it wants, I can also include a copy of a Bassplayer magazine that has a photo ad of it.

Thank you for the additional info. Currently, I'm having another Cortobass being built. Never had a Fusion, they and this one are very nice looking. I'm sure they sound great as well.
