Silverburst Fenderbird Let's Trade!

Ok, I have come to the conclusion that I only get along with P basses.

Got my eye on something. Looking for a cash deal now for $460 shipped!

Take a look at all the pics, you can see this is a DIY instrument and it has been played, not babied. Despite the funky Dremeling on the neck, the joint is solid and the bass has plenty of sustain. The neck fits nicely all the way to the pocket floor, if you will.

I have played a few shows and some practices with it. Included in the trade will be the hardshell which is in great shape. Most of the artifacts in the pics are reflections from the chandelier, WAY too cold outside to bring it out and snap pics!

Epiphone Silverburst TBird
Mighty Mite P neck
Hipshot Ultralite tuners
Hipshot Supertone Bridge
DIY truss rod cover, copy from TBird1958
Schaller strap locks
Relocated strap pin to behind neck heel (there is a chip from this installation, not a structural problem but a minor chip out of the finish that's been glued and held in by the straplock pin.)
Tuned BEAD with DR hibeams
No more neck dive and lighter than your average P bass

The pups show some wear, the back has some swirls but not through the finish. I don't have the original parts that were swapped out.

Ask any questions you may have. I will take more specific pics on request! I'm in St. Louis if you wanna do an in person deal, otherwise, each buyer would pay for their own shipping. I don't have money to trade up, sorry.

Pics...

To be honest, I'm not sure how to price this. Let's wait a few more days to see if I get any interesting Precisions offered.

Thanks!

Anybody with a passive Precision they don't use or get along with? Condition not "that" important.

So, I guess it's the dremel work that is scaring people. It is structurally sound. I was just excited to get it together and play it so I didn't go back and clean it up.

I'll take the neck off and smooth it out, won't change anything but cosmetics, purely to pretty it up.

More pics when I return!

I cleaned up the dremel routes and took another of the strap button. Again, it's structurally sound and flaw is just in the paint. Another of the hardshell Epiphone case, this time inside.

Lets do it.

Guys, the bass I want is on hold for me. I'm open to creative payment solutions, ie: half and half or something.

Don't wanna pay eBay, would rather support Talkbass.

Does a nearly new ash Jazz Bass (MIM) appeal?
