Single cut, buckeye burl Redeemer

Sign in to disble this ad
This bass is sitting too much. So I'd offer it up. I bought it from the original owner (Mike) who had it built custom. You can view the build thread here:

Buckeye Redeemer Single cut for Mike P

This bass has the lowest action and has no issues.
The wood is stunning, the bass is also nice and well balanced, something I am picky about. Some single cuts weigh enough to lop your shoulder off, not this one.

Comes with case, I am using Mike's pics and the same price.
The bass is really special and I just am not playing as much as I was hoping I had time for.

This one and the Alembic SC short scale are both on the block.

34” Scale 4 string
Fretted 24 frets (with zero fret)
Set Neck
SC-V shape

Buckeye Burl top
Curly Swamp Ash body core
Spalted curly maple back
Wenge accent veneers between body laminates
3 laminate neck of hard maple and Wenge (M/W/M)
Mac Ebony fingerboard

16” radius fingerboard
Side markers, white
Single truss rod, heel access

Matching control cavity cover
Matching headstock front and back
Body matching neck cap

Hipshot B style bridge 20mm spacing
Hipshot Ultralite tuners
Wooden knobs to match top
Dunlop strap locks
All black hardware
High gloss poly finish with satin neck
D’addario Pro Steel strings

2 Redeemer stacked humbuckers W/matching pickup covers
Audere Classic 4 band preamp

1750.00$

This bass is really nice, perfect for the jazzy fretted tones and the funk/slap/tap crowd. Excellent work on the frets and neck leveling.
One of the best jobs I've seen actually.

Extremely well balanced. I'm trying to pair my collection down and this and the Alembic SC are on the block due to low usage.

You will not go wrong and the nice blue grey CA buckeye burl is a real eye pleaser

This bass is so far away from what I normally get into that I'm a bit smitten.

Do you have any sound clips?

PM's replied.

Not really looking to trade, I have more basses than I can play right now. So I'm looking to reduce the No#. If on the extremely rare chance someone has a Zon Hyperbass and wants this + some $, I might, but I have serious doubts that will be the case.

I do not have any sound clips, sorry. You might ask the builder:idea:

The upper range is excellent, some pre amp pick up changes, adjustments, I think could allow the bass to play whatever someone desired tone wise. I'm a bit partial to Kubicki, the Modulus and graphite blends with Barts.

I think the bass would be excellent for folks using the 4 finger + thumb approach:

Should be able to get a similar tone.

I can vouch for the mod basses, very nice well made and a real nice tone straight or through processors. Mike's is a nice one too.
34" scale, 5 string, black cool color, good for pick players, thumb or any finger styling.

Help him get a nice piece O buckeye with some nice grey blue burl in there.
