sold! 77 Fender Precision f/s f/t for Brubaker?

Sign in to disble this ad
1977 Fender Precision bass in natural finish. Barely any wear on the frets and neck is arrow straight. All new electronics and parts. Vintage neck, body and pickguard. 77 dated neck and headstock serial #. Uncertain if this is the original pickguard, but I was told it is. Has new Gotoh vintage style bridge, new Grover cloverleaf chrome tuners, new Duncan Quarter Pounder pickups, new knobs and an all new cloth wiring harness. New ashtrays, string tree and strap pins. This bass plays great and sounds like punchy and deep. It weighs about 11 pounds.
$1250 plus shipping. I'd trade for a Brubaker 4 string, plus cash on my end, if required. Lexa, NBS, or NBP. Not looking for other trades right now, thanks.

It's one of those compulsive hunter/gatherer things, I guess. Plus, I have insomnia and I search to kill time.

You don't seem to be at a loss for rad gear, Quadz, and if I were more solvent, I would have been into a few of your basses, including that ric you sold recently.

BTW, I bet you have two of the amps I'm looking for.

I'm acutally down to just a few amps right now. I'm in selling mode myself as opposed to buying much to pay for the F-Bass BN5 I just bought and some taxes I ower this year . Best of luck with the P. I have a friend here at work that has that bass' exact twin (a 77 natural). It's a WONDERFUL bass. He never plays it (and will never sell it, I've tried) and it has not needed a truss rod tweak in 15+ years and stays in tune for months...

I hear that. This neck is so perfect.
I have the triplet on the way too, from 77 as well, plus a couple older jazz cousins.

I must say, that's the way to show pics man. I need to know how to link the thumbnail to the larger size image? Takes up less space.

I didn't know Grover made tuners like that. They look just like MIJ's That's a MIA bass?

they're called GROVER CHROME CLOVERLEAF TUNERS FOR FENDER® P/JAZZ BASS. I bought them myself and attached them. bass parts resource.com

Yes, of course, it's mia. I think that's the only place they made us precision basses in 1977.
