SOLD - Dead Mint Modulus Genesis Vintage Jazz Fretless (Passive!!)

Well, add this one to the "I know I'll regret this later" archives, but with the current gig I have and the additional equipment I need, she's just not getting enough playing time to justify having her as a luxury.

This is a Genesis J-Bass, designed by Mike Tobias in conjunction with Modulus. That means that the bass has the benefit of a the renowned Modulus neck stability via a carbon fiber spine, but the tonality of a wood neck with wood finger board.

She is in dead mint condition, with nary a scratch, ding or swirl mark anywhere, including the fingerboard. The fit and finish is perfect as has been the case with every Modulus I've ever owned. This bass stays in tune forever and has superb resonance and intonation! Needless to say, there are zero deadspots anywhere.

The bass has the "Jaco" look tri-color burst over alder body with no PG and control plate. The neck is alder as well and forms a carbon fiber sandwhich with a beautifully figured chechen FB with inlaid lines.

It has the upgraded passive Villex Pups with passive mid-sweep that really provides a very broad range of tones and a BadAss 2 bridge. She is currently strung with TI Jazz rounds, giving her a tone that ranges from sweet mwahh to that classic jazz bass grind.

I really don't know exactly, but I would guess in the 9 pound range. Not quite as light as my Sadowsky but not as heavy as my Q5.

If I can, I'll weigh it in the next few days.

Out of my price range... ps how come someone like yourself (in buffalo) wouldn't be willing to ship (or drive halfway) to somewhee like toronto even though it's closer than somewhere like california

Actually, I don't think I ever said I was unwilling to ship to (or even drive into) Canada to facilitate a sale. The price I quoted includes shipping to the states, whereas there may need to be adjustments made to the price depending upon what the laws are regarding import taxes, etc.

I just sold a bass recently that I shipped to Australia. While I was a bit nervous, and it was delayed through customs, everything worked out OK in the end. But we had to work out the price of the shipping and import taxes before I could actually sell it.

Thanks X! I appreciate your understanding in this as well. It sucks when a deal gets fugged up through no fault of either party. Fortunately, it appears that FedEx managed to damage an easily replaceable part.

BTW, this bass is SOLD
