SOLD - Ibanez GWB1 Gary Willis Fretless Five string bass - rare trans black finish

SOLD

Ibanez GWB1 Garry Willis signature 5 string fretless. Very light. Rare original model with ebony fretboard and trans black flat finish

It has a few nicks etc that I've done by best to highlight in the photos. All are surface only. Fretboard wear is minimal, I'm sure the ebony fretboard has helped with that.

2 band eq with active/passive bypass
Ash body and ramp
Maple 34″ scale neck, 3 piece
Ebony lined fretboard
Bartolin1 2 band preamp
Ibanez hard case

$1100 shipped in lower 48.

NO trades please. Paypal/money order. NO international shipping please.

I was just gonna say that! I was reading the article and looking at the pics and thought, "It would be cool to have that bass."

I wish.

Great offering, David. Let me ask you a question. How would you characterize that pickup placement? It seems like something between a sweet-spot placement and a 60's Jazz placement. I am thinking this gives it a somewhat rounder tone...

Cheers.

Strings

Hi,

How old are the strings on the bass and what type of strings are they?

Thanks!

Hi
Hard to characterize, but I'd say that's probably a fair assessment.
