Beautiful Lakland Skyline 55-02 in Natural with Rosewood Maple Board. This one is literally new. There isn't a single mark on it. I bought it as NOS about a month ago and it has never left my smoke-free home. It's made in Korea.
The grain on the body, front and back, is gorgeous and it also has a nice maple grain on the back of the neck. The rosewood board is very dark and smooth.
It's a very unique (and possibly rare) combination of electronics: it has the Lakland/Hanson USA pickups and the Bartolini NTMB pre-amp. It came like this from the factory, I believe because it was made during a short period of time when Lakland had the Hanson pickups but still didn't have the LH-3 system. I personally think it's a great combination: it's got the extra bite from the Lakland pickups but it keeps the smoothness of the time-honored Bartolini pre-amp.
Like I said, the bass was played at home for about a month, sharing the time with my many other basses, so there isn't any fret wear, pickups don't have any string marks, it's mint.
Now for the icing on the cake: it weighs only 8.88 lbs. It is the lightest Lakland I have ever had (and I've had a few) or played. You'd be hard pressed to find a Lakland Skyline that's lighter than that.
I am only selling it because I am buying an American Lakland, and we all know how much that costs, so I will need the money. For that same reason, I am sorry but I can't entertain trades.
[PICTURES REMOVED]
I will ship it in a very nice Gator hardshell case. I would like to get $950 shipped CONUS for a quick sale. If you were looking for a clean like-new lightweight 55-02, this is it.
Please let me know if you have any more questions, and thanks for looking!
