SOLD: Lakland USA JO 4-string w/ Nordstrands, Aguilar pre

For sale (now SOLD) is my Lakland USA Joe Osborn 4-string jazz bass. It was built in 2005, and features a lightweight ash body, maple neck and beautifully figured fingerboard, black pickguard, and natural finish. It weighs 8.8 pounds. The upgraded pickups are Nordstrand NJ4SEs, which have fantastic tone. The bass also has an upgraded 18-volt Aguilar OBP-1 preamp, and an active/passive knob that lets you bypass the preamp if you'd like. The controls are volume, blend, tone control (that pulls up to bypass the preamp), and stacked bass/treble boost. All work was done by Mike Lull, including a setup. Also included is the original creme G&G hard case.

I'm back in graduate school and have been trimming my collection. I've sold off my Wal, vintage StingRay, Alembic, and Fodera before this bass. I had to choose between keeping this Lakland or keeping my NYC Sadowsky. It was a tough call, but the Sadowsky has a bit more sentimental value. This is a really great bass, and I'll be sorry to let it go.

$1899 shipped continental USA. I'll ship elsewhere--pm me and we can figure it out.

Joel

It also has the chrome pickup cover. That's gotta seal the deal for someone.

I've been eye-ballin' this thing. Nice chunk o'wood man. I've had a couple Lakland USA's and man, do I love the feel of their necks. And Mike Lull is one of THE MEN in the biz.

Open to any trades?

Wow, that's an awesome JO. I love the fact that you have the vintage knobs for the preamp rather than the 'newer' Sadowsky looking knobs. Looks awesome!

Good luck with the sale, I'm sure you'll sell it fast!
