SOLD: Really nice Music Man SUB 5: graphite color

SOLD

Paypal shipped ConUSA (no international sales) takes home a really nice Music Man SUB5 bass in the graphite color. This one has the 2-band active eq. The bass is in great shape with a few small flaws.

The body has no chips or dings. The chrome is excellent with no pitting. The pickguard has a bit of thumb wear above the E-string (between the pickup and the neck). The rosewood board has some really nice color. The frets are in very good shape. The peghead is very nice without the usual edge dings. There is a tiny paint chip on the under-edge of the "downward curve" of the hook but it is almost invisible after a touch up. Their is a noteworthy ding on the back of the peghead visible near the s/n sticker. The back of the neck is glossy so it was likely polished from the original satin finish. The neck feels great and plays well. The truss rod adjusts smoothly. The glossy thumb surface of the neck has some very shallow worming in a few places, but feels comfortable and solid like a Music Man should.

The molded "Music Man" logo case is in very good shape. All the latches work. There are no dents or cracks... no key either. The case has some typical light scuffing from actual use.

I planned to keep this one longer, but my tobacco burst Classic StingRay 4 arrived today and I already have 3 other Music Man 5-strings. The Bass GAS Gods have been good to me and I need to make some room.

Overall, this SUB 5 looks sharp, plays and sounds like a 2-band Stingray... and only weighs 9 lbs 9 oz on my digital scale.

I have one of these and the necks aren't graphite they are wood with a heavy gloss paint. Nice basses.

You are correct sir. I owned a Zon Sonus 5, B-Quad 4, and G-Bass with graphite necks. I now prefer good old wood

I also edited the listing title/body for clarity.

These are bona fide kick-ass basses! They are essentially the same as a Classic, without fancy necks and insane price tags. All the sound and feel are there.

And if you have any concern about the neck paint, they are super easy to strip and refinish. TruOil and patience will make for the exact feel of the standard EBMM neck.

Wish I had the bread for this one as a backup to my SR5... but GLWTS bump for you (because I don't ).
