I don't know the year this one was made, but it's gorgeous. No major issues, truss rod is fine, beck is straight, fast as sh*t to play. There is a spot on the headstock near the neck. It's through the clearcoat but not into the wood. You'll see it as I've noted it on the pic. Also, one of the pics of the back of the headstock has a piece of clear tape on it that the previous owner put on there, but it should come right off. I've also blacked out the last two serial numbers on the back of the headstock (black out didn't seem to work after posting). My watch is also reflecting onto the back of the headstock, so that's not a blemish you see. Light surface scratches that are very light, hard to see, but typical for its' age. It does need to be intonated.
As much as I love it, I never got around to playing it much since I play 5'ers. I play a Spector CRFM5 (see my avatar) as my main player, so you know I like Spectors. I'm only selling it to help fund GAS. It's currently wearing some DR Black Beauties.
$ 875 $850 shipped with a gigbag (not Spector) to CONUS only. NO TRADES. I will not ship this in two pieces anywhere. I can do Paypal but prefer money order.

I sure hope you would not ship it in 2 pieces as it's neck-thru! LOL
Leave that up to UPS!

I have a similar bass made in 2001 when Spector just switched to the "Euro" name. This is great sounding and playing bass. The neck is definatly very fast. Great color too. |

I meant to also say that the spot on the headstock i described above is really only visible from the top when you're playing, and even then you kinda have to be paying attention and looking for it. |

Leave that up to UPS! | Yeah, I just had to get that in there, since the last few basses I've sold here always has a request for shipping in two pieces. Like you said, wouldn't want to do that for a neck-through. |

This bass would either have EMG BT active tone controls or a Aguilar OBP-1 circuit. If you check under the cavity, if you dont see a little box that says Aguilar then it is most likely the EMG BT. |

I have a gloss black Spector Euro 5LX that I bought 2nd hand a few months back and between the 35" scale and the wide neck I just can't get use to playing it. It has OEM black tuners and bridge that were recently installed (it originally had gold hardware) and the frets were recently leveled. It has some small nicks, but overall is in good shape. It comes with a Spector hard case that is functionally solid, but cosmetically somewhat worn.
I understand the early Euro 4's like this had a thinner neck than the later Euro 4 LX models and I'd like to trade either for one like yours or possibly a Euro Wimbish. I plan on posting an ad here in the next few days. Let me know if you are interested.

Yes, this CRFM4 has a very thin (front to back) neck. It's skinny at the nut too, though I don't know what the width really is.
If for some reason I hit the lottery or some other funding comes my way, I'll let you know. Thanks for the offer. |
