SPECTOR Euro4LX-TW-35 - Show Bass

Sign in to disble this ad
This bass was hand-picked by PJ Rubal for the 2010 Bass Player Live! Show in Hollywood because it has a very rare Flame Maple neck.

The standard SPECTOR neck is three Rock Maple planks bonded together. This bass features a three ply neck made of Rock Maple - Flame Maple - Rock Maple.

The center plank of the three-piece neck is highly flamed Maple and this is VERY RARE.

So it's got a beautiful neck.
  • It has the optional EMG CS-TW pickups: Single/Dual Coil active pups.
  • Optional black hardware.
  • TonePump 9v Active Tone Circuit.
  • Optional 35" scale B,E,A,D tuning.
  • Has fresh nickel strings and will include an additional set of Dunlop Stainless (new - unopened).

It's in mint condition. It left the BPL Show and came home with me.

I am the original owner of this bass.

There is a small scratch on the back side of the upper horn (from someone's badge at BPL who played it). I couldn't get it to show up in the photos. It's a minor scratch but I see it so I figure you will too.

I currently have the action set nice and low at:
B = 6/64th inch
E = 5/64th inch
A = 5/64th inch
D = 5/64th inch

Which is the "normal" action height for a neck-thru SPECTOR Bass. Measurements made at the 12th fret.

-----------------------------

I recently bought a 5-string SPECTOR (Alex Webster Signature Model) and I'm buying a vintage SPECTOR I've had my eye on.

So I need to make some room and offset some of the costs of my new basses... so the wife doesn't want to scalp me.

I honestly never play this bass for I rarely need a LB string. And now when I do I have my 5-string. So it's a beautiful show bass that's collecting dust.

Retail on this bass is $3199.00
Bass Central sells new for $2239.00

Asking $1400.00 - Shipped continental USA only. Will be shipped in original shipping and packing (what they are shipped from the Czech Republic in) inside of another heavy guitar shipping box.

You can email me at webadmin@spectorbass.com if you'd like additional information.

Thanks for looking!

Thank you! And the neck is also figured the same. You can flip my USA NS-2 around and the back of the neck is just plain-jane Rock Maple... grain without a pattern or any figuring.

Turn this bass around and the neck is beautiful. Flamed figuring from the base of the neck at the bottom to the top of the headstock.

You know what you said about the Czech Republic is so true. I've seen so many beautiful basses and women from there. And true on the hockey players. Can't speak about the beer (I don't drink) but it sounds like it fits.

Really... I hate to tempt you but I need to sell it to help pay for the vintage SPECTOR I just bought.

PM me for a really great deal.

Another bump for a great guy and a fantastic instrument. I tell ya, if it wasn't time for me to pony-up huge bucks for my daughter's college bills, this beauty would be mine.

Dang, it looks like a Forte with inlays! GORGEOUS!!!

It does look like a Forte with inlays.
Not to many of these around, original factory delivered BEAD tuning.

This is essentially a “like new” bass, JPS handles his Spectors like gold.

You can’t go wrong with this.

Oh God........................ I can't do this
devil on left shoulder: go ahead, you know you want to.
me: yes, but I can't.
devil: But you still want to. just do it. whats the worst that could happen?
me: well, my wife might kill me and I'm a bit adverse to the whole death thing.
devil: she'll get over it
me: maybe, but what about my 20 other basses?
devil: so what's one more slight indiscretion?

Sometimes the Devil on your shoulder is the voice of reason.

And perhaps your wife won't kill you... perhaps she'll just maim you a little.
And 21 is a great number.
