Spector Forte 5er - FS/FT!!!!!

Folks, this is a killer bass that really needs to be played.

It is in near mint shape with a very small ding on the underside of the top horn and a very light scratch on the front of the headstock. Close to impossible to photograph, but full disclosure and all. Basically looks new.

This bass is a beautiful thing! Is is a USA hand made Spector at a stupidly low price. Solid maple wings, neck thru, solid brass bridge, etc.

The stock Aguilar OBP-2 was removed and an all EMG preamp that includes the BTC two band system plus the EXB (variable mid-scoop) was added (the "Smadder" layout). It sounds amazing with the EMC 40DC pickups and the entire bass is just immense. This bass just kills, is super ergonomic and is a joy to play.

Comes with a Spector OHSC that is built like a tank (and pretty big!)

I am looking for $1850 shipped and insured (it will be AT LEAST $100 to ship this bad boy). PayPal ok.

This bass now sells for $3149.00 at Bass Central and other retailers. Get this one for a ton less!

I will look at very specific trades including..... a Spector Euro 5er or a modern 5 string Jazz bass (Sadowsky, MBass, Alleva Coppolo, Spector Coda etc.) beyond that, not much else interests me.

Thanks for looking!

I wish I hadn't come in here... Any interest in a lovely Lakland DJ5 in Lake Placid Blue?

I play an NS-5XL which is the same bass as this - completely monster tone. BIG sounding B. If I didn't have another 5XL on the way I'd be all over this. GLWTS!

Thanks guys!

It is truly killer and a great way to get into a USA Spector without spending $4000-5000!

i'll chime in on my old forte. it's a Hum dinger.

those maple wings are not a veneer, the flame goes all the way thru the back. the fretwork and build quality were absolutely hyper-premium, right up there with a US lakland, Ken Smith or any other US Spector. I know Brent just got a Fodera, otherwise I'd
say he's crazy for letting it go!

Someone (anyone!) please buy this so I can stop obsessing about it. This is causing me some serious GAS pain.

Yup, this bass is a real beaut!:D

Lots of interest, but I prefer cash or a 5er only trade (+/- cash ok) as I have too many nice 4 strings as it is that aren't getting played. The right 6 sting MIGHT be an option.

Where are all of those Spector Codas, Sadowsky Metros, Nordys, Lulls, Valentis, etc.?

Again, $1850 cash via PayPal makes this bass yours..... And I will even throw in a new Fodera cardboard shipping box!:hyper: That's at least a $2 value right there.:p

Geez 1850 is a steal. If you wanted a Stingray 5HH plus cash we could talk for sure. ;)
