SOLD! HUGE PRICE DROP: $350 + shipping
I have a near mint Spector Legend Custom 4 Bubinga. The Customs are a huge step up from the Classics in terms of tone and playability:
-Set-neck design
-Top layer of bubinga covering the whole bass with a matte finish on it.
-EMG-HZ pickups and 3-band EMG Pre (Vol/Blend/3-band).
-Gold hardware
I got this as a loaner (new) until the bass I ordered was completed. I then decided to purchase it because I liked it so much. I gigged it once, has never left the house outside of that. Selling to fund what may be my dream bass.
List is over $1000, street is around $800, the artist pricing on this bass is $549.50 + shipping (I have the invoice if you'd like proof)...
Specific pics on request.

-24 fret
-34" scale
-Action is currently close to factory spec (around 3/32" at 12th fret), but I can do a a setup based on preference. There's plenty of space to move the saddles down and it's buzz free right now, so the frets are nice and level.
-Still has the Spector steel strings that come from the factory on there.
Forgot to mention that I have the allen wrenches and the little instrument cable that always seems to come with a new bass, so those will be included.

I've never seen one in a store anywhere so I have no reference to their weight, playability or even tone, but I like the look of them.

Great price on a great Bass someone snag this!

I don't see a huge difference between the tone of this one and the one I'm keeping (no veneer). But then, my pre colors my sound quite a bit. Comparing it to my Euro Doug Wimbish model I'd say that it's a little darker, rounder on the bottom, and less plinky on top when left flat. A little tweaking can get you everything from ultra thin to super fat tones though. |
