Hi there,
I picked up a Spector Legend in Trans Black from a buddy.
The truss rod in the neck is either broken or has come unscrewed. The neck has a noticable bend in it.
I was going to see if I could fix it or get it fixed but other things have come up and I just don't have the time.
Besides I have a new USA Spector on order and doubt I'd play this with my two Euros and my vintage NS-2 in line before it.
It is the three-piece maple neck, if it needs replacement PJ at Spector can send you one... I think they run about $120.
Everything else on the guitar is fine. The electronics (passive pickups) work without a hitch.
The guitar has had the following upgrades:
- Hipshot Type A Solid Brass Bridge (same as USA Bolt-On Spectors)
- Gotoh G7 Gold Tuning Pegs (same as on USA Spectors)
- Brass Nut
- Nice metal nobs instead of the plastic ones... came off an older Kramer Spector.
I guess he put the decals on the neck. They are the abalone vinyl decals. It looks like someone did a sloppy job with glue in putting them on. But since the neck appears to be stuffed, I haven't bothered with them.
Take it off my hands for what I paid for it.
$225.00 plus $25.00 S&H to anywhere in the lower 48
Just FYI, the bridge and tuners alone retail for almost that much by themselves.
