An unfortunate injury to my left arm has just made it too uncomfortable to play the 35" scale of this bass. It's really a gorgeous instrument, and sounds as good as it looks. It has a really nice spalted maple front and back with a walnut core, and a natural oil finish. There is a couple of small indentations in the back (I tried to get them in a picture) but other than that the bass is MINT. I'm asking $3500.00 or best offer, including a (somewhat well used, but still solid) hardshell case. Here are some pictures, please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Bummer about your injury. Best of luck with your sale of this beautiful instrument.

It's basically just an oiled finish, with a bit of a stain around the outside edges to give it a burst effect. No idea if there was an actual name for it

Scratches, tattered case, and missing tuning gear cover aside you dont see this finish on many Spectors. Nice color and wood pattern.

Bump. That finish is called a Spalt Burst. Really nice Spalted Maple on this one.
