I have to sell some of my posessions due to the times. I bought this bass form Bass Central used about two years ago. It is the most beautiful Spector bass I have owned. This bass appears on Spectors website here:
http://www.spectorbass.com/bass_us_NS-5XL_2.html
The top and back are the 75-100 year old water cured burled redwood and it has a flamed maple core and a high gloss finish. The original list for this bass was close to $9,000, crazy! If you're interested just let me know and I can e-mail those pics and PM discussion.
I noticed in the original pics it looked like the EMG silver was worn off but it is not. I deleted those images. Here are new pics I just took. Notable blemishes on the bass are: finish dent on headstock, small finish dent on back side of lower body wing near edge, scratches on front left upper body wing near bridge, scratch to the right of the bridge, and finish chips/scratches by the very end of the bridge over maple neck through. Other than that the B-string side of the bridge brass has some wear and one of the Gotoh tuners has a dent in the round cap cover. All of these were hard to capture with my camera. This bass is beautiful and has not been played much or abused at all. The frets show that, as well as the rest of the bass. It just has a few "love bites". I have had a couple of lower offers at his point. After much consideration and research, for $2,500 +/- I'll keep this bass. It's just too rare a bass, and after speaking with Bass Central and Spector basses it's definitely worth more than $2,500 in it's condition. Bottom line for me is$3,100 plus shipping of $50, so $3,150. If I can't get at least that, I'll keep searching for a buyer. I do have a local interest so it could sell here.
I appreciate your interest.

No trades please. This is a tough one for me and is purely based on these financial times. Thanks....................Dave
