Spector Rebop 5

Sign in to disble this ad
Up for sale is my ReBop 5 Dlx. I emailed Spector with the serial number was told it was made sometime in late 2003. It's was built right before they started dressing the ReBop's with block inlays. It is very clean with the exception of some wear in the finish on top of the pickups from using it as a thumb rest and and area of Buckle rash about 1/2" wide in the area of the neck bolts. There are also some very small surface dimples and light scratches that are too small to see in a photograph. The natural finish that Spector used is very thin and apparently dings quite easily. All of these were on this when I purchased the bass. It has only left my house once since I bought it.

This bass has a Bass Mods 3 band preamp installed with Chrome knobs. The configuration is Vol - Blend - Bass/Treble - Mid cut and boost. I originally bought this for another bass and installed in on this bass when it would not fit the control cavity of the other bass. I will include the original Tone Pump and knobs with the bass. The current Chrome knobs were to match my other bass. Matching black knobs can be had for small change.

This bass plays good, has a straight neck and low action, I Have a BTB that I've playing all the time and have come to prefer the Bartolini sound over the EMG-HZ's so this has not been getting much love lately.

Price is $550 + Shipping. the bass will ship in a gig bag inside of a box so it should be well padded and protected.
