For sale only is a Spector Rebop5lx amber finish with upgraded pick ups to emg 40dc/cs and emg bqc electronics.Bass is in really good shape and it has not seen much action since my Euro5 is my #1 bass. I got this bass from mophead and there's no issues with it,it's just gas has stroke again and i need to pay that bill(before wifey leaves me hahaha).Bass has a very small scratch on the headstock and a very small clear finish crack(like a hair line) around the control cavity.I just put a set of strings(LaBella Slappers) not even a month ago and it comes with the Spector hardshell case in good shape as well only a small dent on the top close to the handle(it happened when it was being shipped to me) but very functional.Price is $750.00 firm plus shipping(about $25.00),U.S. 48 only and form of payment has to be U.S.P.S. money order. Here's the original pics from MOPHEAD..thanks. http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j8...rebop5back.jpg http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j8...bop5bottom.jpg http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j8.../rebopneck.jpg http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j8...ectoramber.jpg http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j8...ias/rebob5.jpg

The 40CS pickup really adds to the bass versus having two 40DC's.
Still has the great Spector sound plus a little warmth for the bridge pickup. Infinitely adjustable tone with the pre that provides cut as well as boost and gives you one volume control.
If you are looking for a bass that growls and you can strap up for all evening gigs, this is it. If I remember correctly it is just over 8 lbs.
The finish is easy to care for and is a real looker against the crown inlays.
Very nice example of a Spector Euro without the weight of a neck thru, very nice upgrade pickups over the stock HZ's, and the BQC pre system is a great upgrade to the original Tone Pump.
If you ever wanted a Spector you should strongly consider this bass. Light weight, crown inlays, glossy finish, super electronics. If you like EMG's it doesn't get any better than this setup. And a hard case.
Here comes Santa Claus, Here comes Santa Clause...... |

I'm on the same situation as you were,i spotted a nice U.S. made Spector and i will buy it.So that's why i'll sell this one otherwise i'll keep it.I really had no intentions on selling this bass. But GAS is bad!

The pickups plug into the preamp by factory plugs, plus all wiring for the pots is done at the factory so all you have to do is put the pots into existing holes in the bass and tighten the nuts to hold them, then solder wires to the jack and battery hookup and you are good to go. Took me about thirty minutes and I double checked everything.
My grandson could do it. If you like to try different EMG pickups, just unplug the old and plug in the new for a quick comparo. There are also dip switches on the circuit board to adjust treble frequencies in addition to the boost/cut knob. If you can't dial in what you need on this one then you may be sound challenged.
Why doesn't everyone make it this easy? |
