Spector USA NS5 Buckeye!!

Sign in to disble this ad
I've got a beautiful Spector USA NT in near mint condition that I'm putting up. I've never seen another Spector like it. I absolutely love this bass but I'll likely rarely play it out so I'm looking for something I will use more. I've already got a Spector ( Czechtor) NT 5er with solid maple body that is pretty close tonally. This bass is more open sounding, a bit less zingy but more complex in the high mids. I prefer the sound over my Euro but, again, I won't play it as much.

I'm looking for Fender Style basses ( Sadowsky, Lull, Celinder ect...). I may also trade for the right MTD. I'll consider multiple basses or a trade +cash. If anyone has Wal they want to put up I can add cash. Looking for 4 or 5 strings but have no interest in sixers. I'll consider other trades I but need something I can use more live.

Update: Forgot to mention this as the bass has been sitting on on its hangar and I haven't really handled it much lately. There seems to be a couple of air bubbles under the finish on the top of the headstock and around the logo. These aren't chips and you can't depress the bubbles, it just looks like a couple bubbles developed. This has been the case since I bought the bass and hasn't got any worse since I received it almost 4 years ago. Sale price is adjusted accordingly. I'm sure it could be fixed but it's never bothered me enough to ship off.

Straight sale for $2900

Pickups: EMG DCs
Pre: EMG BT I believe. It's not the HAZ-LAB.
Body: Buckeye Top, Flamed Maple Core and Walnut back. Only one like this I've ever seen.
Neck: Graphite Reinforced 3 piece maple.
Comes with straplocks and 3 inch padded leather strap and Spector HS case with humidifier.

PM me or e-mail to benthughes@yahoo.com

Regarding the preamp. It actually is a Haz built pre. It's their 18 volt model which is the most common on US 5 stringers. Gorgeous specimen there

Still available, really would rather trade than sell. May consider a 2for 1 deal for a nice musicman and p-bass or something. Would like another 4 string.

Thank you! it truly is a stunning bass. Its a shame that that beautiful flamed maple is sandwiched in between the buckeye and walnut, the figuring is insane! I can't see myself ever taking this bass to a gig which sucks because I totally dig the sound. Maybe it's something I'll have to get over. I am being really picky on trades on this one.

These run about 5K$ with this combo new.
Also the nicest I've seen for sale used.

Thanks! This bass is more stunning in person. As much as I like the buckeye top I'd love to see the flame maple under it.
