This is a 1984 SQ serial Squier P-Bass, made in the Fujigen factory in Japan. For those who don't know, this was from the early run of Fender Japan instruments. Every instrument made by Fender in 1983-1984 in Japan was made under the Squier brand name (they started making "Fender" MIJ instruments in 1985).
This bass has been played and shows lots of normal gigging wear, all of it is cosmetic only. No cracks or major dents, just body edge nicks and finish level buckle rash.
Weighed it out on the bathroom scale to roughly 8.5/9ish pounds. Very well balanced.
This is a wicked cool bass that deserves to be more than my backup. The action is low as can be, the sound is fantastic, and I get compliments on it when I take it out. However, I've been using my J pretty exclusively for about a month, and I want to pass this on to someone who will love it.
$350 shipped conUS will include a lovely fender gig bag, leather strap, and dunlop straplocks (and the original parts). Non-negotiable, the worst that can happen is I keep this bass! These things are being rapidly recognized as a superb deal these days. Find more info here:
