got it last year when i noticed Olympic White was on "backorder" everywhere on line, I tracked one down at an obscure on line retailer... anyway, Squier seems to have discontinued this color for the Jazz V, which is a shame b/c it was the best looking finish they did, creamy off-white slightly yellowed..
great looking and sounding instrument, has been gigged some for the last 12 months but well taken care of, clean, a couple tiny blems in the finish that have been touched up w/ auto touch up paint and a little bit of signs of wear on the back side (from shirt buttons, belt buckle, whatnot)
you can get this bass in black all day long on line for 229.00 w/ free shipping, but if you want this color, here it is. i will only ship this in 2 pieces (neck in one box, body in another) for lower shipping and less risk of damage. continental USA only. paypal only. 190$ shipped. pix tomorrow. |

How is the neck? Any truss rod issues? Is it a 34" or 35" scale?
Also, what's it weigh? |

but seriously, i once had a USA Fender V with strung thru bridge, and i really liked it better with strings thru the top... that bass in particular just had a naturally deep tone and strings thru the body was kinda over kill... actually, this Squier, maybe b/c they come w/ ceramic magnet pickups, i dunno, but it has a quite deep tone too... anyway, thx for looking. I put this up on my local Craigslist and would really rather sell it locally, but i just figured since this color has been discontinued somebody out in TalkBass land might really be gassing for an Olympic White JV for just a little $$. We'll see!
oh, and someone asked about selling just the neck... which i understand, b/c the neck on this thing is sweet, i thought about keeping it myself, maybe have it turned into a fretless for some future bass i don't own yet... but at the moment i really need to raise funds... so.. i'd rather sell the body and neck together... unless someone comes forward and just wants to buy the body, and my neck-wanting guy doesn't disappear in the interim... hmmm? |

I really prefer the tighter string tension on the 35" scale basses that's why I was asking about stringing it through the body. You're right, it would make a nice side project to add a string thruouh body option, need to research it. BTW I do like that color and have already purchased a drop in Audere pre off the TB accessories page and I'm looking at either throwing in some nordies or lindy fralins and some hipshot tuners. May upgrade to a badass bridge too, why not. I see it with a solid black pickguard and some sadowsky knobs. At that price it'll be fun. Sir I'll take it, you will be getting a PM.

and.... sale pending! |
