Squier Classic Vibe Precision Bass

I'm selling my Fiesta Red P-bass that I got in a trade recently. I like it, but I'm looking to raise some funds for another purchase. The neck feels great and the set up is spot on. It's strung with flats, not sure of the make. I do not have a gig bag to ship it in, but it will be packed very well. However, if it means a sale, I'll buy a gig bag for shipping. I'm moving next week and would like to sell it before I leave. I can email pictures upon request. Send me a pm with your email address and I'll get them to you.

Looking to get $250 plus shipping. SOLD

Please use a gig bag, even a cheap one is better than a bass moving around in a box... You could get used ones for $15-20 or so.

More pics.

Thanks.

This picture shows a small ding on the underside of the headstock. Hardly noticeable, does not effect playability.

Couple of things:

1. The strings are LaBella flats. Nice, expensive, *tight* tension.
2. I shipped this bass when I traded it to Micah w/o a gigbag, and he shipped his bass to me w/o one as well. Both arrived in perfect shape.
3. Micah is a GREAT guy to deal with. Honest, and a man of his word.
4. This bass actually has quite a bit of work behind it. The neck feels great because it's had a professional luthier sanding and rebuffing to satin coat as opposed to thick goopy gloss coat.

Best of luck in the sale!

That's a shove, not budge

When micah got this bass, it was MINT. As in, not even swirl marks. I'm sure he's taken stellar care of it. Basically for the current asking price it's $100 off a brand new bass, and actually a bass with a lot of pro work put into it too...AND a $35 set of strings.

Sanray rule?

All basses depreciate, agreed (vintage basses nonwithstanding).

However, it's a sliding scale. Does an SX become free after the original owner decides he/she is done with it?

Basses depreciate in % units, not integral units.

$350 --> $250 is a heck of a % drop. Add onto that professional work to make the neck MUCH better than standard Squier. Add to that a fresh set of Labella Deep Talkin' flats.

I think it's a deal as is. Don't get me wrong, nothing personal against you. I just hate *IN GENERAL* nickel and diming on an already good price. If the negotiation was from $2000 to $1800, fair enough, that's significant. But for the added couple of bucks - basically the cost of a NY pizza - kick 'em in, thank the seller for the deal, and enjoy your new bass. There will always be, however, the wood for the trees.

Rumblefisher and SubSector, thank you for the kind words. I wish I could lower the price, but I have ends I need to meet and I just posted it. This is a great bass and many threads on TB praise the Classic Vibe as a quality instrument.

If anyone has an offer or wants pictures, please send me a PM.

Moving in a couple of days so send me your offers. I really need the cash, but I'll open up to trades for pedals. I miss my micro synth, also any vintage EHX pedals, filters, etc.

Thanks!

Agreed 100% . Anyway, from my experience, the closer you pay to the asking price, the happier you will be.

This is a DEAL !!! I own one and I modded mine to similar results and I choose it over ANY USA Fender.

Squier got this one RIGHT !!!!! These basses WILL be coveted in 25 years from now just as MIJ basses from the '80's are now.

This will be the best $250 spent on a pbass by the lucky buyer.
