Squier Deluxe Active Jazz 5

Sign in to disble this ad
Bought with the following Mods:

Dimarizio Ultra-Jazz 5 pickups
Professional fretjob
Switchcraft jack
Fender 500k Blend pot
Neck sanded and refinished with Butchers Paste Wax

Looks, sounds and feel excellent. Nice and solid, everything works as it should, in good condition etc. I hardly play 5's though and this one gets no attention so someone else should enjoy it.

$250 shipped CONUS only please

This is a good deal here, new costs around $350 without any mods like this one here. I tried the 5-string bass at my local GC and very impressed. The B string is good. It is an active bass and it sounds much better than the $700 MIM Fender jazz bass. I own one of these in 4 string with stock pickups, no modifications, and it sounds great. I am very suprised as it sound likes a $700 bass. You need to check it out.

I'm mostly a 4 string player but the B on this one seems just fine to me. I'm not really a connoisseur of B strings and I don't remember having a fiver with a B string I really thought was bad, so take that for what it's worth. That said, I can tell you it's not as good as the Dingwall I had!

You can not compare that to the Dingwall. But for $350 bass, no bass can beat this one. I never seen any bass that good as this one at this price. This bass is the best bang for the money. You can go to bass forum and search for this model and many people buying this 5 string are completely happy with it.

These basses are freaking GREAT for the cash. All you need to do is upgrade the pickups and they scream. Hey wait!!!

Seriously, though... the price is right and the new owner will love it!
