The stock pups aren't bad at all, but the Bill Lawrence P-46 gives a better defined and more clear low end, especially on the E string. There is also more clarity on the highs as well and it is very well balanced. You can read much more on the pup by clicking on the TB thread I link to in the original post.
Here are a few more photos. One shows a close up of the pup. Notice there are 5 pole pieces per pup, indicative of the P-46. There's also pics of the replacement tuners. They dropped right in with no drilling required. Finally, a pic of the stock parts I will include.

The Bill Lawrence design uses the 5 pole pieces on each section to create something like a blade style pick up, as I understand it. It helps give a good even response string to string.
