New Price: $400 shipped.

Very nice Squier by Fender Classic Vibe 60’s Precision Bass in Fiesta Red finish. This bass is in excellent condition and has extensive upgrades:

Bill Lawrence P-46 pickup, Vintage Wiring Kit, Hipshot HB1 Tuners, and more. See post #6 below for more pics and info.

The upgrades were installed by a skilled technician who also gave the bass a professional setup. The neck feels great and is capable of low action. I will also include all the stock parts and a Deluxe Fender Gig Bag. Below are links to the bass and information about the upgrades, as well a price summary of the total package.

Wow, nicely done. How do the pickups sound compared to the stock ones?

The bridge is stock. It works well so I didn't see any need to replace it.

The stock pups aren't bad at all, but the Bill Lawrence P-46 gives a better defined and more clear low end, especially on the E string. There is also more clarity on the highs as well and it is very well balanced. You can read much more on the pup by clicking on the TB thread I link to in the original post.

Here are a few more photos. One shows a close up of the pup. Notice there are 5 pole pieces per pup, indicative of the P-46. There's also pics of the replacement tuners. They dropped right in with no drilling required. Finally, a pic of the stock parts I will include.

Interesting. I may upgrade my CV 60's with new pickups in the future. I'll check out the aforementioned ones!

No, it is a four string pick up, but I've read somewhere here on TB that these pups can be used on a five string P bass. The Bill Lawrence design uses the 5 pole pieces on each section to create something like a blade style pick up, as I understand it. It helps give a good even response string to string.

Just wondering, do you know if the HB-1's were drop ins or did they take some new screw holes?

The replacement tuners dropped right in the existing holes with no drilling required.
