Ok, so my first bass is up for sale. It's a Squier Precision Special, or P/J. It's in OK condition, it has the usual first bass scrathes, but they're only cosmetic and do not harm playability whatsoever. Because I was not the most intelligent 14 year old kid, I decided to rip the frets put of the bass to make it a fretless, and tried to epoxy it. I totally messed up that neck, so I bought a new one, and it's much better than the squier neck. I sanded down the neck (it was unfinished) so that the plastic fretlines were even, and it plays pretty nicely now. There are a few screws missing, but they don't harm playability at all as well. There's one pickguard screw missing, and 4 tuner screws missing. We all know that squier tuners are not the best, so they'll most likely be replaced anyway.
This is an excellent project bass, and with a little effort put into it could turn out to be a fairly nice budget fretless bass for your family. I put an aftermarket black pickguard on it, and it totally made the bass look better. The body is trans sunburst, and like I said before, there are some scratches, but they might be able to get buffed out. There is no wiggle in the neck, and will not budge on you, which is a plus over the stock squier neck, which wasn't very firm.
Price right now is pretty negotiable, and I'm also willing to do trades. Just post what you would like to offer for the bass and I'll see what I like. I originally bought this bass for 250, and it did me good for the first 2 years, but now that I'll be getting a new MM to go with my Ibanez, it's time for this bass to find a new home.
I will post pictures below, and will also post a sound clip if anyone would like one.
I will be including a set of almost new DR strings, and an barely used set of D'addario Chromes. You will only be paying for the bass and shipping.
I apologize for the bad pics, I'll put some more up later.
Thanks guys, I hope that someone will appreciate this bass, and will turn it into something decent
