Squier Precision Special P/J

Bought this bass as a backup, and have rarely used it. Time to let someone else make use of a good bass for a cheap price. I upgraded the P pickup to a GFS - the sound is 100x better than the stock pickup! The wiring however is out of phase with the bridge pickup - so when you have both pickups full on, you get a thin out of phase funky sound (I left it like this b/c it's actually pretty cool). If you solo either pickup by itself, there's no phase issues - so you have a full P sound, or a full bridge J sound, or an out of phase funky sound.

I also put large knobs on it, and some pin striping stickers (that will easily remove). Also have inlay-stickers on the neck that can easily be removed.

Bass has no other issues, plays very well, and is just a great instrument for the money. Just looking to reduce my collection a bit.

$150 cash, plus shipping. If you want a hardshell case, I can include one for $25 more. (I can ship with the neck removed and keep shipping costs down too.)

This is a Standard Series bass. P body, J neck.

Is that Shoreline Gold? Bump for a great price
and don't let that out of phase thing get you down
Its actually a cool hybrid sound that I also get in my SX P/J
You get a full on thumpy P Bass sound with the neck pup soloed
and that nice bright Jazz zing with the bridge pup soloed
and it is almost like the pickups are meeting in the middle with both pickups dimed
good luck with the sale!!!

Not sure if it's Shoreline Gold. Just realized how poor the pics are - will hopefully take some better pics later.
