Squier SQ with mods-1983 MIJ-Killer P-Real Road Worn

I really dont want to do this but I need to get down to one bass.If you look on my profile I have owned alot of gear for my age an alot of P basses. This one is a great one. Its not all original and the body is pretty worn , but I have not touched a thing because this bass just has it.

I bought this meaning to return it to some what stock form but once I had it I realized this is a great bass and I left it as is. The bridge has been changed to a badass II, hipshot detuner added and active EMG pickups. I believe the rest is stock.

The neck and frets are in great shape , surprising for a bass of this age, the body however is quiet worn. A legit roadworn bass, chips , dings scratches everything. Also there is a small but very neatly done route under the pickguard for the battery, it was cleanly done and done well as with the other mods.

This is a players bass and trust me this could be your only bass if it was necessary , a solid P. Play as is or sell off the mods and return it to a stock form.

A mid 80's hardcase is included for shipping and it is thrashed , it only has one back hinge but all front ones. Its just really really beat I am sure with some hardware at home depot you could rig it to function and take some more abuse if you wanted.

price is 435$ +shipping, I will get you the dimensions/weight of the whole package (roughly) an you send me the label to ship.

Could you describe how it sounds overall? Like is it one of the more thumpy ones (ala Jamerson), or is it more crisp and crunchy like Paul Jacksons? (I know this can vary through the tone control but some P basses definitely have more distinct characteristics)

Phew hard to describe. Its not a thumpy jameson P, it could be but not how it is now. Right now with fresh rounds, the badass II bridge and active EMG's it more cuts through anything really. The body is very resonate and you can feel the vibration carry through the back.

My first intentions were to put flats on it and make it a thumpy jameson p with passive pickups and a regular fender bridge but when I got it I knew it was unique, there are plenty of thumpy P basses but this one is an aggressive raw tone to it.

I wish i had a way to record

Me to!

Thanks man

I should note that if someone does not want the badass bridge I will knock 50$ off the price but the bass will come without a bridge then.
