Squier Vintage Modified Jaguar Bass

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi,

I have a Squier VM Jaguar, it's the full-scale length one in black with a tort guard and MOP blocks.

I bought this and installed the Fender Original Precision Pickup, but the cheap wiring harness did not stand up to my poor soldering skills. Thus, the P and J pickups are directly wired to the output jack for the time being.

You will need to re-wire the bass with your own pots, caps, etc. The good thing is that this is your chance to cheaply toy with any sort of mad scientist wiring schemes you've been thinking of . I have the original knobs for the VT/VT pots which I will include.

Includes Elixir Nanoweb strings, Schaller straplocks, and a GC house brand 2" leather strap.

I don't have a gig bag or any other sort of storage for this bass. I can have it shipped double-boxed with no gig bag, or I can buy a cheap gig bag for a little extra protection.

I didn't take photos because there's nothing remarkable about this bass' condition. It looks exactly like the stock version with no dings, dents, or scratches.

Looking to get $125 plus shipping for this bass. I like to use UPS Ground but I'll be more flexible since you're paying.

Thanks!

Hard to believe someone is hawking a Squier on this site.

You obviously have never tried these basses. Take the logo off and you would swear it said Fender. Not everyone wants a "showpiece" bass that looks like a coffee table. I gig a couple times a month doing covers and these basses are the PERFECT modding platform and if it gets stolen I am out peanuts.

Hard to believe someone is bashing a VM Squier. These things ain't your 2001 Affinity Series Squiers. They're consistent quality, and like fenderhutz (thanks for the payment ) said, you'd never know they're Squiers if you taped over the headstock logo.

I've played every model in the Vintage Modified/Classic Vibe series (and have owned most), and with a new pickup and nice strings, they make very serviceable and affordable basses that nail the essence of their big brother's tone for a small potatoes price.

I sold this one at a big discount because I've picked up another hobby (motorcycling) and don't have the time or energy to solder up a new wiring harness, and I wanted to downsize my collection to just a single, bedroom jamming bass (MIM Fender FSA Jazz with Custom 60s pickups).

Anyhow, this babe is long gone and SOLD!
