Squier Vintage Modified Jaguar Bass Special HB in Black - Close to New!
Greetings, Talkbass shoppers,
For your consideration today, a Fender Squier Vintage Modified Jaguar Bass Special HB in black. It plays great, sounds huge, with one VERY loud humbucker pickup. It's amazing to me that a bass Fender sells this cheap could have a 3-band active EQ along with the much-praised Vintage Modified series neck, but they do. It's a great value, for sure. You can get one that is pretty close to new, with only minor pickguard swirling and a tiny bit of headstock dirtiness, for small dollars. It is a great player, set up for medium-low action, but all adjustments (truss rod included) work as they should, and the new owner could set it up however they wish with no problem. It's all stock. Take a look at the pictures!
The price is $150 shipped in the CONUS. I am firm on this price, PRICE NOW $125 SHIPPED and I don't want a trade. PayPal is fine, but cash or money order is better. I'll knock it down to $125 $100 if someone wants to pick it up here in northwest CT.
I'm interested for sure I can come check it out, I have to see, prob heading out to Western MA from BOston in a couple of weeks, if its still around. It looks good I like the Squiers, it has like a jazz neck, more narrow?
The neck is Jazz-like...not as thin as a Geddy Jazz, but certainly of familiar (relatively thin) Jazz dimensions. Not like a P, which is, naturally, thicker.
Here's an idea of what it sounds like. These are the bass going directly into Garageband, no effects, with the bass' volume way down so it doesn't clip. It still does, occasionally, because the output is, as I said earlier, very high. Sounds great going into an amp, though!
