Squier Vintage Modified Jazz VMJ 77

I just got this on TB last week. I had it long enough to do a decent set up on it, and now I have to sell it. Damn bill collectors! It's back to stock now, sporting a fresh setup.

The bass is in great condition, just some light swirling from play wear on the body. The Duncan Designed pickups sound better than I remember. Big and full, with a midrange presence that's present, but not overpowering. Will ship in a light gig bag.

9.6lbs on my digital bathroom scale.

Please keep in mind that this will ship with the original control plate and knobs, not the preamp in the pics. Also, that weird thing above the E string saddle was a fuzzy or something. These are the previous owner's pics.

$200 plus shipping CONUS

SHIPPING
You'll only payHALF the cost of the UPS/Fedex charge. I'll pay for the materials. I can send a full 50x20x10 box to CA for $40, and to the east coast for about $30. Taking the neck off and making a smaller box is also an option, but I do not recommend it. I do NOT skimp on packaging. I spend on average $20 just in materials for each bass. I use fresh, new, corrugated cardboard boxes, large bubblewrap and non-static biodegradable peanuts. No Guitar Center dumpster boxes stuffed with newspaper! I think the cost of assuring a safe journey for your bass is well justified. I haven't had to file a damage claim in the 12 years I've been buying and selling on the internet. *knocks on wood*

Thanks Einstein, it's one of my favorite covers too lol.

Funk: Fenders website says Agathis. I can't tell it apart from my other jazz.

Sunday funday! I've been playing this bass all weekend, and if I didn't already own most of the Squier line of basses, I'd be keeping this one. The wife says I have too many Jazz basses. The fact that my wife knows what a Jazz bass confirms her statement..

So, you think it would be about $240 shipped to the Seattle area? How are the strings? How heavy?

I'll have to put it on the scale when I get home, but it's average. Is guess between 9 and 10lbs. The strings are not super fresh, but they've got plenty of definition. I'd be able to get it to Seattle for $240, no problem.

They're standard Fender sizes. 3.6" on the neck, 3.73" on the bridge. Just measured em.
