I bought this Squier Vintage Modified Precision used to play around with a little. Put a different bridge on, and stole the tuners for another bass. Also sanded the headstock and put a homemade Fender decal on it, then covered with Stewart MacDonald sanding sealer and several coats of matte nitrocellulose lacquer. This is NOT a true Fender model and I am not attempting to sell it as such.
I've put aftermarket tuners back on, the top holes did not line up perfectly so I drilled pilot holes and put new ones in. The old ones are covered by the tuner, can't see anything.
I put the original bridge back on but you can still see holes where the other one was.
One of the bridge screws was broken off inside the bass so I superglued the top of the screw in to hold it in. The other 4 screws hold the bridge just fine. You could get the stub out, pack it with a toothpick and Elmer's glue and you'd be good, I just didn't have time to do it.
Other than that, in great shape. I've had 2 of these and, like the other VM series, they are well built and sound good. Duncan designed pickups. In my opinion, better built than SX basses.
How about
