Hi. A short history: I purchased this Bass in 1986 in Sydney Australia. It had minimal gig use and has been in storage for the last 20 years. I have been in Los Angeles for 12 years, and recently had all my personal items freighted here from Australia. When I took the bass out of its gig bag, it was still in tune! The bass itself is in amazing condition. A few very small slight cosmetic marks on the body and the end of the neck. Nothing more than slight scratches. The Steinberger sticker on the body is still in great shape. The EMG pickups are marked as specific 5 String pickups on their back. The battery cover is cracked, and the leg rest had a crack glued many years ago and seems very solid. The original gig bag is fine, except for the tear at the headstock end, along with gaff tape glue residue that had been used to close it up. A good clean and a bit of sewing should fix it up fine. I also have the original strap, though the metal is corroded. A friend recommended I post the bass here. I agreed as I would love it to go to a good home. If I receive a reasonable offer I will gladly sell. Any freight charge will be actual costs, and i have a light weight road case I can ship it in if you would like. I know this beauty is pretty rare. If I have no luck here, on to the evils of eBay it shall go. If you need any more specific photos, just let me know. Thanks. Ward.
Update....
Just found out i need to put an asking price to post here. So i have searched and searched to find any reference on the web of an L2 Narrow 5 being sold, but to no avail. And I have absolutely no idea of value. So I have 2 options, put it up on eBay immediately (which I would prefer not to do), or post it here with a high price -
with a great emphasis on o.b.o. Feel free to post messages about the price being ridiculous if you feel this is the case, or send me an offer. Again, I would much prefer this to go to a player, not a collector. Thanks Ward.
$4000
