Steinberger Spirit XZ FS/FT

Sign in to disble this ad
Ultra-clean headless 4-string with Steinberger hard case and extra set of strings. Only blemish is the "Spirit" logo has partially rubbed off of the pickups. Vol, vol, tone. Perfect neck. Just over 8 lbs. Dunlop locks. Case has minimal scuffing. I wanted one for travel, but the 5-string version has string spacing that's too narrow for me so I picked up this 4 used last week. Stupid me. 4 is not my thing at all. Paid 325 shipped, looking for the same or could add cash as needed for a very small, light 10 or 12 cab (MUST be 8 Ohms) such as Schro mini 10 or 12, Epi UL2-110 or EA. Paypal OK. Price includes shipping CAN or CONUS. Overseas will add to cost as needed.

Thanks for the offer but the only 12 I'd want is a Schro in 8 Ohms. In a lightweight 10, Schro, EA or Epi might work.

Hey Sane! Well then, that would explain it. I liked that bass a lot, I just didn't need four XZ's!

It's made the rounds! I hope the buyer this time around holds on to it.

If this is indeed my bass, let me point out that this is the XZ-2DB model, with the detuner bridge for the E string.

Spirit basses are now selling from retailers for substantially more than they did in the MusicYo days. MY essentially sold these basses at wholesale pricing. I just checked Musician's Friend online, and they have the XTs, and the Synapse basses, but no XZ's. Who knows if Gibson/Steinberger is still having them built?

The XZ-2DB was discontinued well before Gibson shifted sales to retailers. So this bass may have collector value at some point.

$295 shipped is a nice deal.
