Sterling by Musicman SUB Stingray

Howdy!
The title might be confusing, but a little research will clarify your queries. These are produced in Indonesia under the umbrella of Sterling by Musicman (EBMM's little brother?).
Overall the bass is mint - 4 hours of playing time max. I bought it for $270 from Musician's Friend. The Walnut stain is indeed as awesome, or better than, it looks in the pictures. The action is great and the pickup height is nice and ready for some grindy Stingray tone. The neck is straight and the truss rod is completely functional. I like the setup... YMMV.

I am looking to sell it for $250 (Paypal) shipped with Fender gigbag via Fedex.

I definitely like the bass, my tastes are just changing. The fretwork is rather good - there is no discernible fret buzz. The pickup height is the only item in need of adjustment; the open E can distort when played with force.

Thanks for quick reply. I have read on this forum that the out put of the pick up is really hot. Seems it over drives some preamps. This could be the reason for the distortion

Still have it? Any guess as to what she weighs? I know it's impolite to ask about a girls weight but, for us guys with bad backs, I have to know. It's my total consideration! Thanks! Peace, Tom

She is a beaut! As for the weight, I do not have access to a scale, but I would estimate that she is on the heavier half of 9.5 lbs.

Thanks for getting back to me Tony. I'd be interested in it but I have to watch the weight of the basses I play due to vertebrae being f'd up from being rear-ended in accidents a few times, and for playing heavy basses, toting SVT's and Acoustic 360's, plus whatever band's PA I was working with at the time. But again thanks and I wish you well with selling her off. They are nice basses, you should shed her pretty quickly I'd think!

I played the 5 string version at GC and it felt light as a feather to me. although I think my MIM jazz V may be made of lead so YMMV

I was completely guessing on the weight and made sure to put it on the heavy end. I would not be surprised at all if it was at 9 lbs or a hair less.
