STR CS-5 Custom Jazz Bass: Absolutely Stunning!

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm putting up my beautiful STR Jazz up for trade. Cosmetically it is a 9.4 out of 10 as it has a few minor scratches in the back. It plays like a dream and sounds amazing (as good as any Fodera or NYC Sadowsky). I'm only looking for fretted 4's or 5's in trade. I'll update pictures later as these are from the original dealer.

Specs:

Weighs 9.75lbs exactly
Alder body finished in trans black (looks like a dark cherry only in highly lit areas, otherwise looks solid black)
Quilted maple pickguard and accents
Maple neck with Madagascar Rosewood fretboard
Custom STR Single jazz single coils in 60's position
18v Aguilar OBP-3 pre with Volume, Pan, Lo, Mid, Hi, Vintage Tone Control, Mid freq. switch, and active/passive switch
19mm string spacing with 1 7/8" nut
Includes STR Deluxe Gigbag in excellent condition
STR/Gotoh tuners (GB707), STR 519 bridge

STR Trade

Hi Abe,

What basses are you interested in trading for? What's the approximate value of the bass?

I'm considering all fretted 4's and 5'ers. As far as value, these sell new for around 3 grand at thelowend.net. Obviously I wouldn't be able to get that today if I sold it. Looking for something of similar condition and quality. I might consider lesser basses plus cash. I'm not easily offended so shoot any offer you deem reasonable.

Gorgeous bass!
I played an STR for the first time earlier this year found it to be comfortable and extremely well balanced. Great modern jazz tone. I bet if you added a price it would be gone in a heartbeat.
Guys,
If your interested but unfamiliar with STR, GO FOR IT. These are great instruments.
Good luck with the sale.

Are you kidding me?! You still have this?! If more people were able to play one of these, you probably wouldn't have it now. Bump for a good dude.

I'm looking for an Alleva Coppolo or NYC Sadowsky and might be willing to bundle this Warrior and my STR Custom Jazz in the thread below in trade for the right one. Nonetheless, show me what you got!

Warrior Signature 5 Virtually Mint! PICTURES! WOW!
