I was just struck with a little bit of bass boredom, so I am not in a huge push to get rid of this, but since it never became a "gotta keep it" bass, I am tossing it out there. Photobucket link coming soon, can't do it at work.
Its your standard KZ-6, looks exaclty like the one that comes up on the MTD site more or less. Condition on this thing is pretty darn sweet. Still has plastic on the control plates and the little Buzz Feiten sticker. Only think I can see are some very small little dings in the fretboard that are almost impossible to see in a picture (at least one I took). Purely cosmetic and barely noticable, not exactly sure what they are from. I could honestly still call this bass 9.5 condition without a violation of conscience. Would go in a Tobias gig bag that ain't anything special and barely fits it, but it gets the job done.
I'm looking for a good Jazz type 4 or 4H ray/sterling of equal value (I think in the $850-$900 range is fair). Might be persuaded by the right P bass or a parts fender clone with sufficiently valued parts. I am considering the cosmetic/quality of this bass as its biggest selling point. Obviously an older but not "vintage" bass with some road rash is probably more what I am picturing as a trade than an immaculate bass.
Again, I am dying to get it gone, but once in a while ya gotta go trolling for deals. It's a great bass, and I would not be hurt to keep it, so if nothing comes along by the end of the Thanksgiving weekend I am probably gonna pull the post. Thanks for sitting through all that.

... got one in a trade last week ... great basses! The most comfortable neck on a 6'er I've ever owned (had a few ). Sounds and feels quite nice, right out of the gate ... but look to be a customizer's dream!
Wait-n for pics

Hope this link works to the pics. They are a little old, but the only real difference is a new set of strings where the C now matches the rest of the set.

I can't say I haven't taken a few ganders at your thread on it, but I think I may have something going already. I will certainly keep it in mind though. If it were fretted, I might have already contacted you

and they have plenty of aftermarket bridges to widen the string spacing for ya
but yea I want to keep it within 5-6 stringers atm myself
please feel free to contact me if your interested

I can barely slap a stingray, so a 7 string is a out of the question in that respect. Like I said, other guy and all, but if that can't reach a satisfactory conclusion I may hit you back.
Its kind of funny that the 2 of the 3 basses that made me decide to test the trade waters both responded to me the same day. My luck is so bizarre.
