Stunning vintage Stingray !!!

Sign in to disble this ad
Beautiful 1987 Music Man Stingray up for grabs. Aged white (olympic?) with thick RW board. All original, including case. This is the nicest sounding 'Ray I've ever played, thick lows and just enough snap in the highs. 2 band eq seems to be more meaty with less zing in the treble compared to my 2008 3-band Stingray. Neck also seems a bit smaller than the new 'Ray. Excellent condition for a 24 years old bass, the previous owner apparently never played it. No rust, every screw turns and adjusts with ease, trussrod works perfectly. A few very minor dings with only one place where the finish is marred. Kind of strange as you can see the mark but you can't feel it. Weight is on the light side at 9lbs 2oz.

Price is firm at $1250 $1199 $1175shipped $1150 shipped
Pics to follow

There's the mark. NOT a chip, it's like the finish was rubbed off a long time ago. Weird.

That's a bummer that the deal didn't work out.

Man, if the timing were a bit better for me I'd be all over this one. I guess that's the way it goes. I wish that I had the right kind of trade basses.

No longer considering trades unless you've got a Fender 50's P reissue (MIM or MIA) + cash.
Lowered price to $1175 shipped

Any chance you could post a full-length shot? Can't see the headstock on any of em.

If not, no big whup. Heck of a price for that bass, wish I could do it.
