3 piece neck -Hard Rock Maple/Paduk/Hard Rock Maple (different than the 5 piece necks made today) with a Purpleheart headstock
Ebony Fretboard
neck through construction
Mohagany Body, with a Walnut soundplate, topped with Highly Figured Maple
Gotoh tuners
The individual bridges are Kahler's.

I just got this one from Famous Shamus and its a great bass, the only reason I'm looking to sell is I have the chance to get back a bass I should have never sold

It really is incredible, possibly the nicest bass I've ever owned. I feel kinda silly selling it, but there is a old Smith that I really just have a history with. This Sukop is honestly every bit the bass that that my old bass is, and it lighter and more ergonomic....

there was a time in my life that I'd have given my left foot for this bass. I'd goto Rudy's just to play the Sukop's on the wall.... very nice one you have here. My G.A.S. warning signs have gone into action.

Why Dave why? I ubderstand.

I had the opportunity to play this bass. I'm very familiar with the artistry of Steve Sukop and I have played my share of Sukop basses. And as with with every Sukop I have played, this bass is a grand winner. Extremely comfortable and light and the bass plays like butter. And it's full of versatility, if that makes any sense. The bass really is a nice boutique bass but at the same time it has that work horse vibe happening.


Who ever gets this bass will not at all be disappointed.
