CUSTOM BUILT W. NELSON JOYCE P-BASS STYLE SWAN SONG BASS.

Built by W. Nelson Joyce Swan Song Guitars in Arizona.

I have only owned this bass for a short time and hate to let it go.
This is a P- Bass style instrument.

-A figured maple top on alder and walnut body all in a natural finish.

-Two Lollar pickups; a P-Bass and J-Bass.
-"P-Bass Single is a reproduction of the 50s single coil P-Bass pickup with extended frequency response and better string balance. Alnico 5 magnets. Wax potted." -Lollar

-"J Bass Rear vintage output with scatter wound coil for superior tone. Bridge pickup has a smooth, powerful response—no mush. Alnico 5 magnets. Wax potted."-Lollar

-The stacked knobs give you volume and tone controls for each pickup in one pot. Each tone is individually adjustable.

-Hipshot bridge
-Hipshot Tuners

The bass is 9 pounds.

-Flamed maple neck with a rosewood fretboard, a bone nut. It is P-Bass style.

- Frets are in super shape with a lot of life in them. No buzz, no issues.

This bass will come to you in excellent condition. There are no issues, dings, or marks on this guitar all works as it should.
The bass will ship in Non-Original Gig Bag.

Asking $775 shipped & insured CONUS only. No trades please.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is the advantage of having two different woods in a two piece body?

It's a good looking bass, good luck with the sale

I spoke to the builder and his thoughts were that the alder would give a fuller bottom and the walnut would help with the top end a bit. His thoughts...I am the second owner so this was not built for me. I think the bass sounds really great. It has a real vintage vibe. I particularly love the old p-style pick up sound. But I'm on the orginal list for a Callowhill J(unk) and I have to find a way to pay for it if Tim ever gets around to building it

Also, I forgot to say that the bass is currently strung with flats.

Someone asked if the neck was bought or built by Swansong. It definitely seems to have been built by Nelson. Also, it is reinforced with 2 graphite rods.
