I have a USA Lakland Joe Osbourne bass in Lake Placid Blue for sale. It is a sweet player with an awesome neck and a great sound. I would love to keep it, but my daughter needs sugery and its gotta go to cover the deductible. Price is a mere 1450.00
It is an 2006 American-made Alder/Rosewood JO4. It has a Drop D Tuner, optional 3 knob (vol/vol/tone) configuration. It is a medium weight, resonate bass.
Here is how the previous owner described it:
Prior to buying it, the previous owner tried to relic it and didn't do the best job. As a result there are some superficial spots where he sanded down the nicks so the paint wouldn't chip. It never bothered me so I never had the body refinished, but it can be done by Lakland's paint crew for under $300. The bass comes with a drop D tuner as well as the original. It also has an extra standard jazz tone controls if you don't like the 62 concentric style.
Bottom line: An amazing price for a US JO4 - looks count, but what we are all really after is a bass that plays and sounds good. Save some dough and get this one from me.
