SX 75 Jazz Bass Natural Ash, Old headstock-SOLD

Sign in to disble this ad
I hate to unload this but space considerations demand it....

The neck is amazing, frets have been professionally crowned and levelled.
Wood grain in body is gorgeous, 2 piece body has been nicely mated ....Neck and headstock have some nice detail as well...
Bass has a set of new ( taken off another bass after 1 hour of play) D'Addario Chrome flats
Condition is as new, bass sounds excellent, ....I pack properly to protect against simian error....

What I am asking for this is less than you would pay for a new Squier which could possibly require a lot more work to get it into this sort of playability....I don't believe that Rondo is selling these at this time, even with the ugly newer headstock....
$275 shipped within the continental US...no trades, unless you have a nice Highway 1 P-bass you want to swap

I guess it would depend on WHICH 88 MIJ Squier.....I believe that every instrument has it's own virtues, or flaws, regardless of the label...., there are beauties and beasts in every group, until, I am guessing, you get into the higher price ranges , which is not my realm of experience....
This SX IS particularly lovely to look at though, idn't it ! !

Actually it was $139 for the short scale and $159 for the 34" scale, plus $16 shipping, I think. So $175 or so. Back when you could buy them. Now that you can't.... $75 more is too much? Sounds right priced.

I guess somebody willing to pay the premium means it was "right priced". But upcharges on a good specimen, but unmodded SX? Vive 'la free market. The economy must be improving. Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got a whole closet full of gear I have to mark up and dump on the market (LOL).
