I will preface this ad by saying I play for a living, and have owned a lot of gear. This a good bass no matter how you slice it.
SX Jazz bass, with PJ pickups. The P is a Fender original bass pickup, the J is an American Standard fender Jazz pickup. Pots and caps have been changed to good stuff. It is currently strung with TI Flats. You can have those or some rounds, your choice.
I used this bass a backup, and it saw its share of gigs. It is not perfect. The body has some dings, none too bad. The neck is absolutely perfect, and exhibits the kind of fretwork you find on a thousand dollar bass.
It does have a phony Fender headstock decal. If you don't like it, steel wool will remove it.
It will ship in a hard case that is OK.
I am only selling this because I bought a Ken Smith and my vintage Japanese Squire P-bass will be taking the role of this one as my knock around. I just have too many basses, and life is only so long.
This one is too good for it to sit unplayed.
I think a picture is worth a thousand words, but a video is even better. Here is a link to this bass in action, so you can hear it (use headphones or some good speakers).
$225 shipped. Paypal.
