SX JAGUAR BASS (WITH UPGRADES !)

Sign in to disble this ad
This is SX' take on the ultra cool Jaguar Bass. These were about $150, but you can no longer get them.

I've upgraded it with DiMarzio Ultra Jazz pickups, Fender pickup and bridge covers, chrome dome knobs, CTS pots. and put in a better cap (a NOS PIO cap). It is strung with D'Addario Chromes currently.

It has been lightly gigged, but is in really good shape. No chips in the paint that I could find, no issues. There is a bit of discoloration on the control plate (see pics), but no big deal. I put on a new bridge cover, so it is nice and shiny (not discolored like the one in the pics)

Serious TONE, and a great looking bass too !

PRICE DROP TO $210 SHIPPED IN THE CONTINENTAL USA !

PAYPAL PERSONAL

I have over 500 feedbacks (100%) on Ebay, user ID: Sodavine

I'll do my best to find a large box, but "worst case scenario" is I'll have to ship it with the neck unbolted. It is only 4 screws, so not a big deal at all.

Anyway, on to the pics !

Very nice DH. I wish Rondo would have provided a 5-string model of this bass before the horrid headstock change.

Stock bridge. Alder. No dings or chips, other than a very small indentation on the back of the body.

BTW...PM returned a while ago.

Thanks !

It's a great playing and sounding bass too. Plus it is WAY WAY WAY less money than the Fender Jaguar Bass !

Here are a couple more quick pics - one with flash, one without. I wish I had a better camera so I could capture the sparkle of the Candy Apple Red finish, but oh well...gotta make due with what I have. Suffice it to say that the bass is a really great looking metallic C.A.R.

Would Fender Jaguar control plates fit on this, just for the look? I'm kind of tempted by this bass...

Honestly, I'm not sure if the Fender Jag pickguard and plates would fit. I would suspect that you would at least need to do some "finessing", but as to how much, I'm not sure.

I can't believe this hasn't sold yet! I like this version better than Fender's.
