Beautiful and ever popular Lake Placid Blue with vintage tint Maple Neck. Bass is exactly as it was purchased from Rondo. No neck swapping or mods. The bass has probably 3-4 hours total playing time on it and is as close to perfect condition as I'd ever say a bass is. When taking the photo's I could not find any problems in the finish. Bought as a backup to a backup and something for my 20 year old son to noodle around on when at our house, but his brief interest vanished before it even began.
When I received it I leveled the frets and set it up which is something most SX's need. Everything else is bone stock on it.
The bass has hung on a Hercules stand since it was purchased around 2 years ago. I'd take it down and play it and adjust it's setup ever 6 months or so and remember that I'm just not comfortable playing 4-strings anymore. I cannot remember what year of Jazz this bass was supposed to emulate. The pictures do the talking on this one. It does not have a hard or soft case, but will be wrapped and double boxed.
Lets say $120 shipped to continental U.S. payed via paypal.
Not sure on the weight, I'll have to weigh it tonight. Feels 'normal'. I'd guess 8.5 - 9.5 lbs.
Full Scale 34". Action is great with very slight relief. Lowish action. I refuse to play something with high action. Most of the time when I try demo'ing a bass at a store I feel the stock actions are 'to high' for me, so take that for what it's worth. I felt the action was more than fine last night when I took the photos. As I said, it's had a mild fret leveling on it. I think 3-4 frets were noticably high. Never really tried getting the action brutally low or anything. I can check that tonight on the action height also if the bass hasn't sold yet.
But, anyone that buys it should always have something setup to their own liking and preferences.
