SX SJB-62 converted to P/J (Metallic Green)

This one is back up for sale after the last deal fell through.

SX SJB-62 P/J Conversion Metallic Green *SOLD!*

Everything but the body and neck has been replaced/upgraded. The whole body and neck have also been refinished in a nice metallic green. The body has also been routed out for a P/J configuration, but you could also put it back to a J/J easily enough.

I really like this bass and it served as my main bass for the past couple months while I have been rebuilding my primary P/J which is a very similar conversion. Actually everything on this bass is identical to my main bass except the pickups. But I've got a custom bass on the way soon and it's time to clear out the stable to make room.

Specs:
  • SX SJB-62 Body (extra routing under the pickguard to fit a P pickup)
  • SX SJB-62 Neck (frets professionally worked)
  • Hipshot 3-string retainer
  • Bone replacement nut
  • CTS 250k Pots V-V-T, Orange drop cap, Switchcraft jack
  • Copper shielded cavities
  • Dimarzio P/J pickups
  • SX SPJ Pearloid pickguard (i think its 3 ply)
  • Fender Jazz style knobs
  • Fender Standard 5 hole bridge
  • Fairly new Rotosound RS66 Strings (45-105)
  • Large strap buttons
  • Fender control plate

The only issue I have with this thing is that the Fender control plate doesn't match up with the pickguard perfectly. You could go either way and get a new plate or a new pickguard if it bothers you. If I keep this long enough I will change it because it does bug me. The paint is an overall 8/10 with one chip on the back of the neck pocket and a couple minor bruises because this bass has been played live many times...It's a workhorse, not a closet queen.

See the project process on my website HERE

$265 shipped? Or $175 shipped with stock SX P/J pickups that I can put back in. Let's face it, everyone has different taste in pickups. No sense making you pay a lot more for a bass that has pickups you don't want and will end up changing anyways. Plus I like these pickups and wouldn't mind keeping them

Make me trade offers on this one too. I'm not looking to make any extra money on it. Also might trade it for an Epi T-Bird.
