SX SPB-57 Pre Ursa headstock $100 shipped!

SX SPB-57 in black n maple. Original headstock. Does what a P Bass should. The only issue is a high 5th fret which never bothered me when plugged in. A minor fix if needed. No gigbag but will be well packed for shipment. $100 shipped in the continental U.S.

Appreciate the full disclosure. Does the 5th fret just need some filing down, or is it loose in the slot? Any other neck probs or notable dings on the back of the neck? I'm weird about neck dings...messes up my concentration.

The fret's in solid. Just could use a filing. Most of the frets have a tiny bit of overhang but not enough to make me stop playing. No other problems with the neck (dings or divots). IMO it's one of the nicest feeling P style necks I've ever played. The body has no dings whatsoever either. If my other "main player" basses didn't need some TLC I'd hang onto it but alas I be needing funds.

How's the 5th fret thing affect playability? Do you get buzzing when playing in the 1st position? I've been contemplating getting a P to setup with flats for when I get my Motown on, and 1st position is basically 99% of all Motown.

Most of the playing I've done on it has been in the "money note" region. The buzzing is most prominent on the fretted C (G string) and mellows a little more as you go down (fretted G, D string - fretted D, A string - fretted A, E string). When plugged in it didn't bother me much, just enough make me think of getting it filed at some point, lol. I would imagine that a set of flats may mellow it out further although I've never used them on this bass.
