Takamine TB-10 Acoustic Electric/EUB

If you are looking for a 34" scale acoustic BG with an upright-ish sound, this is the bass. I have owned several (Godin, Rob Allen) and this one comes the closest to the upright sound, in my opinion. You can play it seated - either as an ABG or on a stool with the endpin extended, or standing.

Here is a link to the thread through which I purchased this bass about a year ago. It contains many of the details about the bass and some photographs. I hope rodneyat doesn't mind if I link to it here.

FS: Takamine TB10 Hybrid Acoustic Bass Guitar

I had a luthier remove the side dots that were added - and replace them with permanent inlaid dots:

I also replaced the strings with Labella Black Nylon Tapewounds.

Asking $1600 shipped within the CONUS. Unfortunately, because of the size and weight, international shipping is not possible as far as I can tell.

Not interested in trades at this point - thanks.

DREAM BASS!!!

I know that you are not looking for trades and that this bass will be gone soon but......if you decide differently, I have a MINT condition Stingray 5st with Piezo that I would happily trade towards it. Just a shot.....couldn't help myself.

Best of luck!

In lieu of a bump, here's another shot of the bass in action:

I'm not sure if it is awesome or not, but there are some raw recordings here:

Funny as hell

I was a serious prospective buyer.

If you had posted the sound clip earlier I would have seen the Triumphs and it would have been done.

Proud owner of a tricked out Thruxton here.

Thruxtons are very cool - I love my Bonneville though.

Just to clarify, the sound clips on my site were not recorded with the Takamine TB-10 - that is a Rob Allen Mouse 30 fretless.

I'm going to close this thread - I"m shipping the Takamine tomorrow.
